The Community Church facility is used for many different events. Sunday morning we have two celebration meetings. This enables us to have a Community feeling, while at the same time grow. Our worship team leads in contemporary music of praise. Special music is always included and drama and video clips are sometimes used to help us in our worship. The messages are practical and understandable. Our motto is "A church that speaks your language."
We have a children's program during our first service which involves games, Bible stories and crafts to teach children 2 years old through Kindergarten the stories of the Bible. They learn through story time, movies and activities. A Nursery is also provided at this time for infants through 24 months only.
During "Foundations" (9:40-10:30am) we have classes available for everyone to learn; nursery through adult. The classes are held in our church building with the exception of the Junior High, Senior High, and College and Career classes. They are meeting in the Annex.
During the week some small groups meet in various rooms as well as the worship center. Other groups meet in homes. There is a group for most interests. Some are long running while others center on a practical topic such as finances, marriage and parenting.
Our conviction is that we are to be involved in the community. As a result our building is used for quilting, home schooling classes, music lessons and recitals just to mention a few of the activities.
Our Annex building was purchased to help with the overcrowding on Sunday mornings as well as to provide a place for our Jr. and Sr. high youth. We have set up a fellowship room in the basement with ping-pong and pool tables. Up stairs a large screen video is installed.
In the summer months we use our parking lot for basketball camps and a neighbor tournament. |
